The Waseca County Animal Humane Society is a NO KILL 501c3 Nonprofit Organization. We independently serve southern Minnesota, and are funded with support from the community (not the county.)
We are composed of individuals from our community and beyond, who have come together to be the voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.
WCAHS does not have a shelter or a physical location. All of our pets are in foster care. Visitation times are set up with an approved application. Calling only delays this process. Meeting one of our adoptable animals, after the application has been approved, does not guarantee adoption. We often receive multiple applications for the same animal. We must decide which home is best. Unfortunately, this means sometimes approved applicants are shown another available animal or may have to wait. Please don’t take this personally.
We will not adopt animals into homes where pets in the home are not current on routine vaccinations, spay/neutered, or kept outdoors for the majority of the time. All denials are decisions of the WCAHS board members. Criminal record, neglect, or abuse will automaticly have a denied application.
